Jeffrey and Mary-Jean Henry raise Certified Animal Welfare Approved by A Greener World (AGW) dairy goats at Cranberry Creek Farm near Cresco in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Their herd is made up of American Alpine dairy goats, a versatile breed which is known for its high milk production and ability to thrive in a variety of climates.
The Henrys are passionate about pasture-based management: “Management intensive grazing, free-range herding in the forest, and a balanced diet is what makes our goats milk so nutritious and delicious,” Jeffrey says. “We believe in healthy food for us, our goats, and our customers.”
The Henrys produce a range of aged and fresh cheeses at Cranberry Creek Farm in small 50-gallon batches in their new cheese manufacturing barn, and also sell fresh goat’s milk, and vegetables produced on the farm.
Cranberry Creek Farm’s high-quality Certified Animal Welfare Approved by AGW dairy products are available directly from the farm store (Saturday from 10-2), at stores throughout PA and NJ and at local farmers markets.
