El Día de San Isidro Second Annual Farmers’ Forum

Farmers and ranchers in Northern New Mexico will celebrate El Día de San Isidro, the patron saint of farmers, at the Second Annual Farmers’ Forum in Mora on Thursday, May 15^th, 9 am – 5:30 pm. Beth Spitler, our western regional Farmer and Market Outreach Coordinator will be presenting on the benefits of animal welfare labeling and other educational sessions cover everything from bee keeping to permaculture to traditional water storage techniques. A producers’ BBQ lunch is included and the event will be followed by Los de Mora Local Growers’ Cooperative annual meeting, recognition dinner, and awards ceremony.
